Welcome

We’re a family navigating the journey of homeschooling amidst the beauty of the Ozarks, while building an heirloom produce farm. We’re trying to cultivate a lifestyle that is in harmony with the land and animals, fostering a love for learning through a nature-based curriculum that speaks to the heart of wild schooling and forest school ideals.

At The Wild Schooler, we believe in the power of nature to inspire and educate and that life is the greatest teacher. Our nature-based curriculum is woven into the fabric of our daily lives, providing a rich tapestry of experiences that spark creativity, foster independence, and instill a deep appreciation for the world around us.

What is Wild Schooling?

Wild Schooling is an educational philosophy that embraces nature as a classroom, inspiring children to connect with the outside world and learn from in-person outdoor experiences with plants, animals and earthen materials.

You can read more about wild schooling here where we explore the mental and emotional benefits for your child, practical applications and ideas for nature-based curriculum that you can use to create your own wild school at home.

Not all classrooms have four walls.
